The Miller Electric Race Team began in 1995. Mark Broussard and Chris Viningre of Texan Harley Davidson located in Conroe, Texas requested some support for a start up road race team, using a Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster to run the local CMRA
/Wera road race series with rider Tom Shields. The team ran the last AMA National Road Race at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix,
Az. Tom finished 10 place among riders, Ben and Eric Bostrom, Scott
Zampach, and Shawn Higbee. After getting a good look at AMA Pro Road Racing, Miller along with his ranch manager Jack Bounds brought the team in house and campaigned the 1996 AMA road race series with rider Mark Black of Austin, Texas. Mark finished 4th place overall in the series.
